Ethos

Welcome to Glebe Primary School and Nursery! At our school, every child is unique and special. We make learning exciting and tailored just for them! No two children are the same, so we make sure each one has a blast while learning. Our goal is to see our children dive into their lessons with excitement, eager to explore what comes next in their learning adventure!

At Glebe Primary School & Nursery, we care deeply about every child’s happiness. Here’s how we help them:

  • Grow emotionally, spiritually, and culturally: We help children understand themselves and the world around them.
  • Say no to bullying, racism, and harassment: We create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
  • Succeed in their education: We support all children in achieving their best, no matter their background or abilities.
  • Respect others: We teach children to understand and value everyone’s feelings, beliefs, and differences.
  • Be brave and responsible: We encourage children to be creative, take initiative, and care for others.

We do this through our special ‘LEARN’ Core values:

  • Leadership
  • Excellence
  • Ambition
  • Resilience
  • Norms (culture)

At Glebe, we want children to:

  • Lead their own learning (leadership)
  • Strive for excellence and help others do the same (excellence)
  • Dream big and work hard to achieve their goals (ambition)
  • Never give up, even when things get tough (resilience)
  • Create a culture of kindness and respect (norms)

We believe in hands-on learning and giving children the chance to explore and grow.

Our school is part of the Rayleigh Schools Trust, where we work together to make education better for everyone. Learn more about our curriculum on our website, and find out about the trust at: www.rayleighschoolstrust.com
