During the cold weather a Glebe green fleece jacket may be worn to provide extra warmth over your child’s sweatshirt, but may not be used instead of the sweatshirt.

We ask parents to send their children dressed and prepared in a sensible way e.g. long hair tied back, no nail varnish, sensible hair styles with no shaved patterns, sculptured styles or inappropriate colourings.

School Bags

We do not have adequate storage in school for large bags or back packs.  So, where possible, please send your child to school with a book bag, which is available from Danielle’s.  We supply all the equipment necessary for your child to learn and, therefore, your child is not required to bring a pencil case to school.

On PE days only, children may attend school in their PE kit.

Rights Respecting Schools

UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools

Glebe School is a Rights Respecting School community. Having gained the bronze award in July 2019, we are presently working towards the silver award – Rights Aware. Children are taught about the rights outlined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and these underpin all areas of the curriculum. These rights are being embedded in all facets of school, especially inclusion, behaviour management and pastoral care. Adults and children exist in a mutually respectful environment which enhances learning and relationships.
